Senior Big Data Engineer, Infra

About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer to join our Platform team and build the data infrastructure that powers our entire R&D organization. We build and maintain the infrastructure, tools, and services that power our development teams, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and developer experience.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build data processing systems using Apache Spark for our "Pipeline as a Service" product.
• Create and maintain data lake architectures and NoSQL database solutions.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS services (particularly EKS).
• Provide expert data infrastructure support to R&D teams.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of big data systems.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience as a Big Data Engineer.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Java/Scala.
• 3+ years of experience with Apache Spark (development & optimization).
• Experience with both batch and streaming data processing paradigms.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture (data lakes, NoSQL, and relational databases).
• Expertise with AWS services and infrastructure.
• Experience with container orchestration in Kubernetes, specifically EKS.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support technical teams.
