The role of Head of External Fulfilment for MX Marketplace will build, own the growth and drive the expansion of our Seller Flex and Easy Ship channels. As a program manager you will be the single-threaded leader of the program requiring the ability to develop team members to think big, dive deep, and work across partners. This role will manage a team of program managers based in MX.
The Marketplace business exists in many countries and is a significant percentage of the total Amazon unit sales and growing. Each year, tens of thousands of businesses join the marketplace adding millions of new products. Our vision is to offer customers Earthβs largest selection. We are all striving to improve Seller experience and enable LATAM Sellers to be successful selling through Amazon.com.
Key job responsibilities
1. Identify, prioritize and execute on new opportunities to further accelerate growth of External Fulfilment channels.
2. Develop in-depth understanding of processes, tools, data, and teams involved in External Fulfilment Channels. Identify gaps (or overlaps) and opportunities, and initiate high-impact projects.
3. Work autonomously on new or ambiguous initiatives and understand how to create scalable solutions in a rapidly evolving and changing landscape, while working backwards to understand customer's needs.
4. Demonstrate a high level of ownership to own External Fulfilment Programs end-to-end
5. Connect with key stakeholders regularly to review ops / business metrics and setup processes & mechanisms to ensure goals are met.
6. Develop new programs/solutions and create roadmaps, lead multiple high profile meetings to align project requirements and collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders, business groups, product managers, operations associates and tech leads.- MasterΒ΄s Degree or MBA
- 10+ YoE in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to launch product features, project/program management, consulting
- 5+ YoE managing manager of managers.
- Experience working with P&L data to drive growth.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Strong verbal and business written communications skills in English and Spanish, with a track record of influencing others through writing
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Dynamic Arrays (e.g., FILTER, SORT), and IFERROR for efficient data analysis. Power Query and Power Pivot for data transformation and modeling. Dashboards, using Conditional Formatting. What-If tools. Familiar with Macros.- Experience with logistics, manufacturing, large-scale physical operations, or related fields
- Experience working directly with technical teams in an agile software development environment
- Demonstrated project management skills of breaking down tasks, simplifying roadmaps, establishing owners and timelines, and status reporting
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives
- Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences and influence outside technical teams.
- Analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and across time zones.
- Proven track record of launching complicated product features by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Retail, Legal and Tech.
- Strong business acumen
- Knowledge in SQL, Tableau, business intelligence tools
