WW Ops Amazon Business is building the operations and supply chain solutions that will enable ABβs rapid growth by re-engineering many parts of our supply chain to offer bulk, consolidated, pallet deliveries and many other services that business customers require. You will be involved in helping re-imagine what a B2B supply chain should look like and playing a key role in the technology that will power our supply chain.
Key job responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Engineer within AB Ops, you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. You should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions. You should be expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low-cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the data warehouse and into end-user facing applications. You should be able to work strategically with business customers in understanding significantly complex requirements and implementing reporting solutions. Above all you should be passionate about bringing large datasets together to answer business questions and drive change to help grow the AB Operations space at Amazon.
We seek a quick-learner who can quickly familiarize themselves with a fast-paced environment, build relationships with cross-functional teams, and assume ownership for a broad array of domains. About the team
Amazon Business (AB) launched in the United States in April 2015 with the vision of delivering a comprehensive procurement solution for business customers of all sizes. In the US, AB now serves Fortune 500 companies, hospital systems, local governments, and education organizations. To support AB's mission, the AB Operations team owns end to end customer experience for AB customers right from checkout to final mile delivery and sits under the broader Global Transportation Services (GTS). We are the Single Threaded WW Ops team driving B2B operations, developing products and programs unique to business customers, and enhancing the core Amazon delivery capabilities for commercial addresses. While Amazon has built its core operations over the last two decades mostly catered towards the end-consumer, we recognize that the business customers have unique needs and require a different set of features and services from their e-Commerce provider.- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Science acumen with proficiency in statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, building offline ML models, econometric modeling

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
