Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Echo and more. What will you help us create?

As a System Technical Program Manager - you will work with product management and HW/SW architecture team to define product from pre-concept, scope program schedule and cost, build workable architectural plan, support Statement of Work (SOW) and ODM negotiation/selection, help critical technical or business issues mitigation and program milestone reviews. The candidate must be able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirements
- Lead cross functional development and execution on new technologies from product definition, design through delivery
- Work with core team (product management, hardware, software, operations, quality) on critical issue root-cause analysis, solution identification and implementation within launch timelines
- Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control- 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
- 3-5 years system design experience in consumer electronics, in-depth understanding of HW system components such as EE, PD, Thermal, Display, Battery, Audio, Camera, and Reliability requirement
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree with a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in technical program/project management in a consumer electronics environment- Master's Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Technical disciplines
- Creative leader with superior analytical abilities and ability to exert organizational influence
- Working knowledge of hardware and software development process and lifecycle management
- Proficient at creating and tracking complex development schedules
- Experience managing the introduction of new technologies
- Strong system architecture and design experience and understanding of technical requirements for technology integration
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Fluent communication in Chinese
- Expertise with program management tools (Project, Confluence, JIRA)
- Proven ability to successfully execute complex cross-functional programs End-to-End
- Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets
- Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
