Are you passionate about cloud security? Do you have a unique combination of security knowledge, business acumen and strong interpersonal skills? Do you like helping people and organizations innovate in order to move fast and stay secure in the cloud? Are you interested in evolving the cloud security landscape to help our customers? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Solutions Architect to work with our customers in Australia and New Zealand to help them be secure in the cloud.

At AWS, customer obsession is in our DNA. The successful candidate will be a trusted security advisor to our customers and will work with AWS field and product teams to develop and deliver programs of work that help our customers stay secure and compliant in the cloud.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Work with AWS customers, especially those in highly regulated industries, to help them understand AWS security cloud best practices
- Work with other teams within AWS to drive adoption, especially of AWS security services
- Develop content, such as whitepapers, reference architectures and blog posts, that can be used to educate our customers and the industry about cloud security and compliance
- Mentor AWS sales and solutions architecture teams to provide expert advice to our customers about AWS security and compliance
- Make history: AWS Solutions Architects drive change throughout the industry, what will you change?

Amazon Web Services Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including Public Sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities
- Building trust with our customers to become advisors for the best cloud security outcomes
- Work with internal teams to define what good looks like from a cloud security perspective for our customers
- Advocate on behalf of our customers with service teams for improved outcomes/products/features
- Provide thought leadership in a Security Domain at scale to our customers across ANZ and APJ

Mentorship and Career Growth

- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Knowledge of cloud architecture
