Stores Proactive Security is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our Data Intelligence & Analytics team. Our mission is to revolutionize security operations through advanced analytics and automated solutions, focusing on organization-wide leadership metrics and insights. We are building a unified security metrics platform that enables data-driven decision-making at scale, transforming how security insights are delivered across Amazon's Stores organization.
Every day, security teams across Stores generate vast amounts of data through security reviews, automated scanning, and compliance assessments. Our team is responsible for transforming this complex data landscape into actionable intelligence that drives strategic security decisions. We're building solutions that standardize security metrics, automate reporting processes, and provide real-time visibility into security posture across the organization.
Key job responsibilities
• Design and implement organization-level security metrics and dashboards that drive strategic decision-making
• Partner with security program owners to standardize metrics definitions and automate reporting processes
• Develop automated solutions to replace manual reporting processes and reduce operational overhead
• Create self-service analytics capabilities that democratize access to security insights
• Drive data quality initiatives and implement robust validation mechanisms
• Build scalable data models and analytics solutions using Amazon's data technology stack (Redshift, S3, QuickSight)
• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to implement innovative analytics solutions

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
