Want to build systems that enable Selling Partners to grow their business and delight Amazon customers? As an SDM in Selling Partner Promotions, you will establish and grow a new team of engineers that is focused on owning Coupons for Selling Partners.
You will work directly with external and internal Selling Partners, and other engineering teams to build systems that unify seller and vendor promotions on a unified architecture. You will be part of a wider organization that has well-defined processes (Quarterly Planning, Office Hours, Feature Intake, etc) in place to help minimize churn so our engineers can focus on what they do best - building systems at scale for our Selling Partners and our customers.

About the team
The Selling Partner Promotions (SPP) organization builds self-service and internal tools for creating, managing, and analyzing promotions across Amazon's ecosystem. With ten development teams across the globe, SPP delivers solutions that drive customer traffic and create value through discounted selection. The organization focuses on building worldwide solutions that are intuitive, transparent, and provide market-competitive costs while maintaining necessary guardrails to protect customer trust.- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- Bachelor's degree
