Market Data Operations Specialist

The Market Access team is responsible for the technology systems that interacts with financial markets, brokers and third-party providers. The team performs critical functions that allow strategies/traders to access real-time market data and execute orders reliably and efficiently. The team plays a pivotal role in support QRT fast expanding business requirements, and to maintain its competitive edge in the market through technology that supports its trading activities.
Your Future Role within QRT:
You will support and evolve QRT's global market data systems and infrastructure by collaborating closely with exchanges, vendors, traders, and internal technology groups.
The role has two core aspects:
Project Management and Coordination
You will take ownership of a variety of tasks and projects, ranging from short-term trading desk requests to long-term exchange-driven upgrades
- Coordinating with internal teams (e.g., developers, infrastructure, trading) and external stakeholders (e.g., exchanges, data vendors) and providing regular updates
- Proactively identifying dependencies and blockers
- Tracking and assessing the impact of upcoming exchange changes and aligning internal teams accordingly
Operational Liaison and Information Stewardship
- Facilitating efficient communication between development, infrastructure, trading, research, and external parties like exchanges and vendors
- Leading the resolution of operational issues with clarity and accountability
- Maintaining comprehensive, up-to-date documentation on exchange-specific data coverage, configurations, and related operational knowledge
- Contributing to internal tooling or automation that enhances data monitoring, onboarding, or operational workflows
Your present skillset:
- Proven ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple parallel efforts in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining documentation; experience with internal knowledge bases is a plus
- Familiarity with market data and financial markets, including exchange data feeds, asset classes, market structure, and trading concepts
- Basic scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash) that helps reduce manual work and supports diagnostics is a significant plus
