We are hiring a Tax Specialist with U.S. tax expertise to join our Finance team, supporting global tax compliance, reporting, and operational processes.
Your future role within QRT:
- Coordinate with external tax preparers and review U.S. federal and state/local tax filings (Forms 1065, 1120, 5471, 8865, 1042, PFIC reporting, etc.), with additional support on international/non-U.S. tax filings.
- Monitor and advise on FIRPTA, USRPHC status, and Section 302 redemption events for U.S. investment portfolios.
- Assist with compliance for U.S. and international withholding tax regimes, including Chapters 3 and 4, FATCA, and CRS.
- Support the completion and submission of withholding tax exemption forms (e.g., W-8BEN-E, treaty forms, and equivalents in other jurisdictions).
- Liaise with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure proper documentation and withholding positions across jurisdictions.
- Research and engage with external tax advisors on U.S. and international tax technical matters.
Monitor, track, and assess developments in U.S. and global tax law.
- Contribute to internal tax policies, controls, process automation, and documentation.
Your present skillset:
- 4+ years of U.S. tax experience in Big 4 or equivalent, with a financial services focus (e.g., hedge fund, PE, or VC) or a similar role in a financial services firm.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. partnership and corporate tax rules.
- Experience with international tax matters is a plus.
- Working knowledge with FIRPTA, USRPHC, and Section 302 rules preferred.
- Familiarity with global withholding tax regimes and documentation requirements (e.g., W-8 series, 1042-S, foreign tax forms) preferred.
- U.S. CPA (preferred) or Enrolled Agent (EA) qualification.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Team player and able to work independently in an international environment.
