Your Role:

Tenable is looking for a sales leader, who will excel in a high-growth and entrepreneurial environment. As the Commercial Sales Manager you will join our world-class sales organization to lead and motivate your sales staff, including implementing sales plans, developing new business, and expanding existing business.

Your Opportunity:

  • Lead, manage and grow a team of highly successful territory managers responsible for meeting and exceeding quarterly sales quota by developing new opportunities within a specific geographical territory
  • Develop a strong knowledge of our software products and operational procedures to assist the TMs in qualifying and closing deals
  • Establish and maintain strong professional working relationships with internal departments such as Channel Managers, Sales Operations, Customer Success Managers, Enterprise TMs and Lead Generation to ensure the success of the team
  • Demonstrate the ability to use company tools to manage opportunities, forecasting, data KPI’s  
  • Daily engagement with the sales team to address questions, help manage sales process, conduct monthly pipeline reviews and weekly team meetings
  • Mastery of sales process and tools to be able to enable your team 
  • Demonstrated consistent success driving quota attainment over fiscal years as well as driven team initiatives for specific territories 
  • Recruit, lead and provide training, coaching and team development
  • Track all KPI’s including, demos and evaluation metrics to ensure team success
  • Mastery of MEDDPICC process
  • Ability to identify business needs and drive those growth initiatives independently 

What You'll Need:

  • BA/BS degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of overall inside sales and inside sales management experience in software product sales 
  • Leadership experience managing teams up to 10 people
  • Successful track record of increasing revenue year of year managing a team with individual quotas
  • Strong focus on qualifying opportunities, delivering product demonstrations and channel partner support
  • Ability to drive change and process improvement
  • Capable of interfacing well at all levels within a company and a client base
  • Strong communication skills demonstrated through the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and persuasively through verbal and written presentation
  • Intelligent and exhibits high degree of integrity
  • Excellent organization, motivational and leadership skills
  • Ability to forecast your business accurately 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly effectively to all levels within the organization
  • Informal leader to other leaders
  • Proficiency with SalesForce, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to produce professional presentations, reports and analysis for management

And Ideally:

  • Experience with network security technology

This is the base pay range for this position. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance. US Pay Ranges
$91,500$122,166.67 USD
