**About the Role**
## We are looking for rising senior to join Uber as a Strategic Business Development Representative Intern this summer for a 12-week program! As an intern, you will support our Uber for Business Strategic Sales team and gain hands-on experience in business development. This high-impact position will provide sales support to Strategic Account Executives through the development of qualified leads that result in achieving our business goals. You will be calling upon our largest, and most strategic client accounts. This role will serve as a training ground for a pathway into an Account Executive position with demonstrated success.
You'll be responsible for researching companies and their employees and conducting outbound prospecting campaigns (both email and calls). You’ll develop rapport with contacts in an effort to understand the prospect’s stage in the buying cycle. You’ll collaborate with Strategic Account Executives, to ensure that leads are accurately qualified and will progress through the sales funnel. You will gather key information to update our Salesforce system and identify next steps for Strategic Account Executives to connect with these prospects and overall global account expansion.
**What You’ll Do**
- Generate new business opportunities and qualified sales pipelines for strategic accounts across a variety of industries such as Finance, Technology, Consulting, Media, etc.
- Work with Strategic Account Executives to closely understand the needs and goals of each customer. Based on customer research, you’ll coordinate and execute customized outbound strategies and scalable campaigns to bring in net new business
- Outbound prospecting via targeted calling, email, and marketing campaigns
- Build and execute on strategic and measurable demand generation campaigns
- Uncover a prospect's business challenges and identify new business opportunities, while highlighting the Uber for Business value proposition
- Conduct high-level conversations with senior executives
- Manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using Salesforce
- Work closely with sales teams to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business
- Share best practices and make recommendations to more effectively close sales and ensure customer loyalty
- Qualify and action on inbound leads and collaborate with sales teams to deliver the best solution for the client and ensure an excellent experience
**Basic Qualifications**
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business or related field with at least one semester/quarter left after completion of internship (Class of Dec. 2025 - July 2026)
- Availability to embark on an exciting 12-week internship focusing on a real-time, impactful business challenge to begin June 2025
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Vast experience running email campaigns and using CRM tools with high profile customers
- Experience cold-calling and sales/business development experience
- Experience using CRM tools (ex: Salesforce/Groove) to manage daily activities
- Ability to manage your time effectively while working with multiple internal/external stakeholders across a variety of accounts. Proactively able to prioritize high value opportunities while executing scalable strategies
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to share regular updates with sales management and account executives.
- Ability to gather company insights through online research and through client conversations. Translate this knowledge into customized campaigns and thoughtful client interactions to unlock new opportunities.
- Have a positive, self-driven team-first mentality with a desire to learn
- Tech-savviness. You’ll be using multiple systems in your role and researching companies, industries and roles to power successful outreach and share learnings with your team
**About the Team**
GSA (Global Strategic Accounts) is U4B's Sales Segment for Tier 1 accounts. These 68 accounts represent our top-spending (or highest potential spending) clients, with a strong focus on FinServ, Consulting, Tech, and Pharma. Our team's goal is to build meaningful relationships with these clients, partnering to identify all the ways we can support them in moving and nurturing their most valuable asset: their people. We aim to maximize spend within these accounts by expanding U4B's product portfolio, launching in new regions, and driving deeper adoption and increased spend in existing programs.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base hourly rate amount for this role is USD$30.00 per hour.
