Are you passionate about technology, engineering and operational excellence? Would you like to help Amazon customers meet their daily needs? If you answered yes, Amazonβs Worldwide Grocery Stores Tech (WWGST) organization is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) like you.
At WWGST, we are solving a fundamental need for customers - food and nutrition. We serve millions of customers around the planet by making it easier to solve their grocery needs through multiple offerings that meet them where needed. Whether itβs online or in-person, multiple brands, or supporting omni-channel shopping missions, we want Amazon to be the go-to relationship.
In this role, you will drive key engineering initiatives for the Identity and Access Management team including the development and execution of excellence goals, operational planning, security fortification and technical readiness. Each of these areas are critical to ensure we can reliably serve our customers while continuing to innovate on our portfolio of solutions. You will work across the WWGST organization in partnership with tech teams and leadership to ensure we can deliver on this promise.
This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in working in an entrepreneurial environment to drive deliverables with visibility and impact. The successful candidate will possess a strong program management background, have demonstrated experience leading large programs, and have a well-rounded technical background.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for delivering programs with medium complexity and/or those that have broad cross-organizational, global, or technology impact. Your work will focus on large product, process and engineering efforts that solve complex problems. You will be trusted to operate with complete independence and are often assigned to focus on areas where the business and/or technical strategy has not yet been defined.
You effectively partner with all levels of leadership. You are adept at building consensus. You are able to represent, verbally and in writing, complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to leaders to help them understand the decisions they have to make and the options they have. You influence organizational priorities, system owners, business, and technology direction. You manage cross-functional communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and needs aligned. You recognize when current programs are susceptible to prior failure patterns and actively steer leadership to avoid repeating these failures. You know when a design or solution requires additional technical guidance and seek their input. You show excellent judgment in driving executive-level escalations. You deliver solutions that meet Amazon high standards for customer satisfaction, efficiency, stability, extensibility, simplicity, and operational excellence. You amplify your impact by educating the TPM and engineering communities (within your organization as well as and more broadly) on program management best practices.
