We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to lead our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiative within the Customer Behavior Analytics organization. This strategic program aims to revolutionize how Amazon understands and engages with customers across their entire journey. The ideal candidate will drive the technical vision and execution of complex, cross-functional projects that leverage data science, machine learning, and personalization technologies to deepen customer engagement and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical strategy and roadmap for the CRM program, aligning with Amazon's broader customer-centric vision
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define program goals, KPIs, and success metrics
- Drive cross-team alignment and execution across Customer Behavior Analytics, Personalization, and User & Product Marketing Technology teams
- Manage complex dependencies and risks across multiple workstreams including data science model development, experimentation, and product launches
- Partner with science, engineering, product, and design teams to deliver innovative customer experiences that drive category discovery and increase engagement
- Develop and track program-level metrics, providing regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities
- Lead strategic planning for resources, budget, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of program objectives
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can translate high-level business objectives into actionable technical plans. They should be comfortable operating in ambiguity, adept at breaking down complex problems, and able to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders. - 10+ years of technical program management experience
- Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives
- Strong technical background with understanding of software development lifecycles
- Proven track record of delivering complex programs with measurable business impact
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies- Master's degree or MBA
- 5+ years of experience leading data science or machine learning initiatives
- Deep understanding of personalization technologies and customer analytics
- Experience with agile methodologies for managing distributed teams and workstreams
- Track record of influencing senior leadership and driving organizational change
- Familiarity with Amazon's leadership principles and operational processes
- Experience in e-commerce or retail technology
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
