The Checkout team, which owns the Amazon Checkout Experience platforms, is the core of Amazon’s global e-commerce application. As it's core, we use almost all of Amazon’s e-commerce platform features to orchestrate a smooth and reassuring purchase experience. We are looking for a strong Software Development Engineer in Test to help us build and harden Amazon's Checkout software. Experienced Software Development Engineers in Test define and influence software quality standards, collaborate with Sr. Engineers to make software testable, build frameworks and tools to automate team processes, and ensure continuous high quality of products/platforms they own. Qualified candidates are expected to have a strong drive for results, good interpersonal skills, technical deep-dive curiosity, ability to work both independently and in a team environment. They will drive all aspects of quality engineering including building and maintenance of test frameworks, product code testability, test infrastructure management and efficiency tooling. - 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
- 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
- Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows- Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
