Full Stack Developer, Grocery Robotics and Automation Systems

The Grocery Robotics and Automation Systems team is embarking on several projects to build and deploy user facing tooling for automation solutions in Grocery Fulfillment spaces. We're looking for a talented and motivated Front-End or Full Stack Software Engineer to design and build scalable solutions for fulfillment automation with a focus on UX. This is an opportunity to be part of the team that designs, integrates, owns, and scales automation solutions across the Amazon Grocery Fulfillment network. Key job responsibilities

- Define scalable front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
- Contributing to defining best practices for front end development
- Collaborate closely with Customers, Product Managers, and Software Development Engineers to deliver the product.
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement
- Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices.
- You will design and develop wide variety of front-end technologies, web applications and mobile apps
- Mentor and support the growth of other developers.
- Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

A day in the life
We work with a diverse set of stakeholders to integrate automation solutions with existing Amazon services and build additional standalone resources to support large scale fulfillment operations. There will be opportunities for designing solutions and user experiences from the ground up and influencing the future of the organization in a meaningful way. As we're a fast moving team, most decisions will need to carefully balance short term success vs. long term impact to deliver value to our customers now without sacrificing long the long term vision.

About the team
You will be working with teams of software engineers based out of Bellevue/Seattle, Boston, and New York. You will also have opportunities to go on-site and see your solutions in action! The team is constantly interacting with other organizations outside of robotics, including external vendors, operations and automation partners.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 2+ years of working with front-end technology and building user experiences- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
