Description
As an Art Director on Marcom’s Interactive team, you'll create and improve shopping and buying experiences, and interfaces for Apple products, software, services, on apple.com, the Apple Store App, and the Apple Store Online. You will brainstorm, ideate, and deliver under the guidance of an Associate Creative Director and in collaboration with other creative and technical disciplines. You’ll oversee small to medium sized projects and present the work to Creative Directors and cross-functional partners. You will follow the work from concept through production and delivery, ensuring it adheres to Apple standards of quality. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Executes high-quality design work on assigned projects. - Regularly presenting work to leadership, soliciting and implement creative and strategic feedback. - Designing and maintaining deliverables across Apple.com, and iOS / HTML global platforms to align to project goals, creative direction, and templates. - Troubleshooting new ideas or executions as needed, enhancing existing experiences and optimizing content for new product initiatives, working within process to define technical specifications. - Leading designers in day-to-day design tasks, working with producers to meet deadlines, and partnering with writers, designers, and developers. - Leading presentations of the work internally to explain progress and ideas. Agency oversight of design output, suggesting process and template improvements.

  • At least 7 years of experience in the interactive/digital marketing communications industry.
  • A portfolio that showcases strategic insight and visual design talent for a range of digital experiences and interfaces including web, mobile, and/or apps.
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Excellent design and conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to guide, evaluate, and redirect creative development when necessary.
  • Experience and deep understanding of user interface design and design systems.
  • Have defined the product vision and customer experience for a digital product or service.
  • Have shown success in strategic and design thinking, and validated expertise in content strategy, system design, usability, and analytics.
  • Experience evolving a design system to scale and improve it in alignment with business needs and future vision.
  • Strong understanding of data science and customer journey insights.
  • Skilled with design software, including Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with motion and prototyping tools is a plus.
  • Strong communicator with exceptional presentation and diplomatic skills. Able to actively engage in healthy debate with stakeholders.
  • Experience building trust with multi-disciplinary partners and collaborating well within a team environment.
  • Diligent, flexible, resourceful, and independent with a strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Willing to take risks, fail, and learn from mistakes.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
