Prototyping Engineer - CNC Machinist

Meta Reality Labs supports its goal of connecting the world by building various products, including Reality Labs devices. Many of these products are custom designed for our requirements and integrate advanced technologies. We are seeking a Computer Numerical Control machinist & prototyper to join our state-of-the-art mechanical prototyping facility. This role will be responsible for programming, machining, working with engineers to debug designs, assisting with test fixture development, assembly work, and etc. Our products utilize a variety of materials (from plastics to hard metals) and processes, and the CNC Prototyping Machinist should display demonstrated experience with these technologies. The prototyping facility includes advanced 5-axis and 3-axis CNC machine tools, laser cutting, 5-axis waterjet cutting, and manual machine tools. The CNC Machinist is responsible for the safe setup, operation, and maintenance of this equipment, including tooling, fixture specification and procurement. The machinist will work closely with the mechanical engineering team to solve design and manufacturing issues. We move fast and are looking for a person who is motivated to find the fastest, most efficient ways to go from CAD models to finished parts in real materials.
