Product Intern

We are seeking a Product Research Intern to join our Product Strategy and Ops team this summer. This is an incredible opportunity to learn and grow alongside leaders and industry experts within an Ai-powered tech company. You’ll be exposed to multiple areas within Product Research, such as coordinating conversations with customers, working with data analytics to understand customer behavior, and synthesizing insights to drive product management decisions. Your contributions will impact real-world projects for both our users and Dialers.

This internship will be hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days in office, located in San Ramon, CA. The intern manager will be our Pricing Director. The program will run from June 16 to August 15, 2025.

About the Product  team

Our Product team collaborates with teams across Dialpad to deliver on our vision of transforming the way businesses communicate and collaborate. Our Product Managers work closely with Design and Engineering to plan, spec, develop, and ship product experiences across all our product lines, including Connect, Support and Sell, to customers around the world, and supported in 10+ languages.

About you

You are a student with an interest in the tech and telecom industry and excited by the prospect of helping companies find product market fit for the products they are building. You are curious and enjoy learning but find yourself often coaching and influencing others with your ideas. You love data and building stories with it.

Requirements

• Current student.
• Hybrid with at least 2 days in the office. 
• Local to San Ramon area (or will be for the summer).
• 60-90 days preferred (10 business weeks).
• To be interviewed.

What you will achieve

      In your first 30 days you will:

• Become familiar with the methods and tools to help identify customer product market fit and answer key research questions product managers.
• Talk to Dialpad customers with the supervision of the member of the team with the goal to understand their needs and pain points.
• Work to synthesize different sources of information to provide insights and recommendations to the team.
• Accompany team members to regular product meetings.

      By the end of your internship you will have:

• Successfully complete a research discovery project from ideation to recommendation.
• Prepared recommendations from a result of that work.
• Presented your work to a company-wide group of business leaders and mentors.
