Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in developing with Python, Java or C++.
- Experience in managing suppliers and partners in implementing design requirements.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with software or firmware.
Experience in development of manufacturing test software.
- Experience in development of software test solutions for complex computing, storage, and networking products.
- Ability to communicate clearly with contract manufacturers and peers in worldwide geographies.
- Excellent leadership, investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creative and strategic skills.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google's powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you're right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google's infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google's infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.
- Develop and maintain firmware, software and diagnostics tools for next-generation manufacturing test cards.
- Collaborate with Hardware and Manufacturing engineering teams to incorporate next-generation manufacturing test cards.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure product test coverage, software stability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to plan and execute the engineering programs, including product development and productivity improvements.
