The Solution Engineering (SOLE) organization drives the development and implementation of fulfillment technologies and services across multiple fields including Hardware, Software, Processes, and Packaging Materials, supporting Amazon Japan in maintaining its position at the EC industry's forefront. The SOLE PM team handles project management functions necessary for the success of projects within the department. These activities include planning and managing department’s resources (People, Materials, Money), facilitating communication within/between SOLE and other internal/external departments, monitoring/evaluating project outcomes, and driving process standardization and change management.
JCFS seeks a SOLE PM, who is responsible for managing budgets, resources, and timelines of multiple projects under the department to achieve organizational goals in collaboration with project owners and internal stakeholders. In addition, this role leads the development of new mechanism that monitors fulfillment labor cost savings and CAPEX avoidance resulting from SOLE projects. To succeed in this role, you are encouraged to learn global counterparts’ best practices and be open to changes.

Solution Engineering部門はHardware、Software、プロセス、梱包材といった幅広い分野における技術およびサービスの開発・実装を担い、常に業界の最先端を進むAmazon Japanを支えています。Solution Eng. PMチームはSolution Engineering (SOLE)部門に所属し、本部門が進める多様な開発・実装プロジェクトの成功に必要なリソース(ヒト・モノ・カネ)計画の作成と管理、SOLEおよびJCFS内外部門との情報連携、プロジェクト成果評価、そしてプロセス標準化と変更管理といったプロジェクトマネジメント機能を担います。
Solution ENG. PMはSOLEチームのプロジェクト予算、リソース、スケジュール策定の運行管理を担い、SOLEのゴール達成にコミットします。また、SOLEのプロジェクトの収益成果、特にFulfillment labor cost(労務費)とCAPEX cost avoidanceを見える化するメカニズムの設計と実装を推進します。このRoleは常にグローバルのbest practiceを学び、新しい考えを取り入れてProgram Managementを改善することが期待されます。

Key job responsibilities
• Leads and Manages the project planning, budgeting, and reporting activities of multiple projects under SOLE organization with project owners.
• Leads the establishment of a mechanism that helps visualize investment and outcomes (savings and cost avoidance) of projects.
• Prepares and presents progress reports to SOLE and JCFS Leaders.
• Encourages cross-functional collaboration and communicate program objectives, progress, and challenges to stakeholders

A day in the life
・Hold a weekly PM team meeting to update information about JCFS business situation.
・When we need to collaborate with other teams or organizations, we work with representatives from other departments to clarify requirements and organize prioritization aligned with business goals to support leadership decision-making.
・Visit operational sites such as FCs and Sort Centers together with JCFS members to learn about JCFS business and technology.

・PMチームに所属する全PMメンバーとWeeklyでミーティングし、ビジネス状況や組織に関する情報を常に共有・見える化します。
・他チームや他組織との連携が必要な案件が出た場合、他部門の担当者と連携して要件を明確化し、ビジネスゴールに照らし合わせて実施可否および優先順位の提案を作成してリーダーシップ判断を支援します。
・メンバーと一緒にFCやSort Centerなどの現場へ行き、ビジネスや技術を学びます。

- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
