We are the Last Mile Delivery Design team for Amazon Worldwide Operations. We define, build, and maintain the products that Amazon businesses use to deliver packages to customers around the world. Our team of experienced designers, researchers, and cartographers partners with product teams to understand user behaviors and needs, creating high-quality experiences that strive to not only meet those needs, but exceed them. We design experiences such as the Amazon mobile delivery platform, in-vehicle digital tools, DSP 2.0, Delivery Station tools, and other systems that support addresses, geolocation, routing, and deliveries. The experiences we create are used by multiple Amazon businesses and product lines, including Amazon Logistics, Prime Now, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Flex, Amazon Key, Lockers, I Have Space, Retail, and more.
Key job responsibilities
Our team is looking for high-performing design leaders to drive both big-picture vision and fast-paced execution, delivering near-term results while exploring future opportunities. This Maps & Navigation UX Design role focuses on helping transporters safely and effectively navigate their delivery routes, providing clarity on where they are, where they’re going, and the best way to get there. Maps & Navigation is a highly specialized space that demands quick learning, adaptability, and creative problem-solving. About the team
We lead with vision and follow a flexible design process, adapting our approach to fit the needs of the moment. We invent through collaborative brainstorming, prototype and simulate experiences with real customers, and share our vision across teams and leadership. We scale empathy for our users to partners and leaders, ensuring our tech teams have what they need to build great products. Equally important, we prioritize a healthy work-life balance. While we are a team of high achievers, we recognize that sustainable performance requires realistic scoping and mindful workload management. We know innovation suffers when designers are stretched too thin or working unsustainable hours (many of us have families, too). Though we may put in extra effort to polish a critical project, we strive to minimize thrash, accurately scope work, and maintain a healthy, balanced work week for every person on the team.- 6+ years of design experience
