We are looking for an Analytics Manager focused specifically in the Rides business, which sells both Taxis and Public Transport. The role requires someone who can drive how data is leveraged in solving business problems within their area. Consulting with business partners in problem-definition, setting success metrics and shaping the way forward through data insights. You will gain a deep understanding of business problems, embrace a customer lens, and tackle problems with timely analytics and translate analytics vision & strategy into execution. You will provide reliable, and actionable insights to partners using effective communication methods tailored for your audience. In this role, you will be expected to think strategically and identify areas where analytics can make a significant impact in Rides. This will include building and translating analytics vision and strategy, ensuring that the team aligns with the plans and stakeholders needs are met. You’ll be the manager of an analytics team that supports analysis of all aspects of the rides business, you’ll help us understand both customer and partner behaviour on multiple products & platforms ensuring the decisions we make are data driven and relentlessly improve the experience they have. Role Description: This will be a role with evolving responsibilities, as our business is constantly evolving and adapting to changing customer needs, driven by an increasingly data-driven culture. You will need the ability to process detailed information and adapt to changing situations. The manager will be expected to independently use their expertise in both technical and professional competencies whilst empowering their direct reports and members of the craft community to do their best work and be accountable for the quality of the analytics work of their team. The manager will be expected to be the voice of Data Science and Analytics in the Rides Management Team space, ensuring that our experimentation quality is sufficient. Leading Rides in Data Modernisation will be a large part of the expectations of this role, this includes BDX migration and C360 behavioural tracking implementation. Therefore it is important that the manager is proficient in their understanding of data management in order to drive implementation and deployment of this complex project. Key Job Responsibilities and Duties: Maintain a strong team within Rides by coaching and developing Individual Contributors. Think strategically and identify areas where data science and analytics can make a significant impact on the supporting department. Prioritise work based on business needs while keeping stakeholders aligned at all times. Translate insights’ vision and strategy into execution, considering the needs and specificities of the team and the scope. Play an instrumental role in evolving and designing new applications of data science to business problems. Take ownership and understand the goals and objectives of supporting business partners, translating them into Data Science and Analytics (DS&A) requirements and frameworks. Bring vision and strategy to improve efficiency in the way the DS&A team works. Qualifications & Skills: Has strong data visualization skills and storytelling. Capable of driving actions from stakeholders (e.g. self-service visualization tools or slide decks)and is proficient (is still doing) and strong at coding principles (e.g. R, Python, SQL...) and data management (engineering,flows...) Driven and results oriented personality Able to spot opportunities to drive business growth from their craft. Analytical and curious mindset Strong interpersonal skills Expertise and experience on data analysis. Strong data management, data visualization and quality. Is proficient (has done but is not doing anymore) and excels at at least one of the below:Coding principles (e.g. Python, SQL...)Data management (engineering, flows...)
