Role Description: In this role, you are the FP&A business partner for Marketplace, at the heart of delivering our connected trip strategy. You will take ownership for the financial planning process, with a clear emphasis on bridging innovative business strategies into solid financial plans. On the basis of business analysis and through building business cases, you proactively take the lead in advising stakeholders on their departments’ financial performance, and other business KPIs. Furthermore, there is a focus on analyzing and reporting the performance of Marketplace - Connected Trips Benefits, with a close eye on investment and cross sell performance as well as highlighting risk, opportunities and deviations from expectations. Key Job Responsibilities and Duties: Drive both the short and long-term business planning process to create solid financial plans Guide decision making by building business cases and scenario analysis to make recommendations on the best approach for the business Create meaningful and actionable variance analysis comparing financial results with all relevant comparison points Provide regular reporting in an insightful and actionable way to the BU/departmental leadership teams in order to promote ownership and accountability Support business analysis and financials deep dives when required Support business decision making, by providing reliable financial data and insights, put into the context of Booking’s business operations Perform regular monitoring and tracking of performance, ensuring risks, opportunities and deviations from expectations are highlighted to your stakeholders and investigated to explain the cause, as well as recommendations for actions required Communicate potential opportunities and risks versus submitted forecast/guidance Supporting Strategic decision making by modeling different options to allow for ROI driven decision making Qualifications & skills: Level of Education : Bachelor Degree 5+ years of relevant experience Strong financial modeling and analytical skills Strong numerical skills and commercial awareness Knowledge of accounting concepts Able to effectively build strong relationships with direct stakeholders across all levels of the organization Organized, proactive, independent and results oriented Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and in a flexible environment Adaptable to changing priorities Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English Experience of using Google Sheets Experience of using SQL & Hadoop desirable Benefits & Perks - Global Impact, Personal Relevance: Booking.com’s Total Rewards Philosophy is not only about compensation but also about benefits.
