Amazon is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior BIE to design, build reporting and analytics tools and provide insights to the negotiation teams in order to increase the EU retail profitability, limit negotiation impact on CX and equip the category team to efficiently drive negotiations.
The role of the Senior BIE, negotiations, will be to provide insights into negotiation opportunities (vendors, terms), drive category teams through relevant goal setting and tracking/reporting. In addition you will assess and influence decisions for our complex incentives strategy, enabling teams to make impactful decision to drive their negotiations while minimizing impact on customers.
This role will work in strict collaboration with the negotiation team, the VM, SSCM and cat lead subject matter experts as well as tech teams working on the products we are driving.
This role will also provide opportunities to be confronted to tech product definition and implementation, as the negotiations teams partner with WW teams on product roadmap directly owning WW features, relying on dedicated EU INTech resources.
This role will be part of the European Retail team. The Senior BIE , EU negotiation position could be based in any location in which Amazon Retail teams are present (Paris, London, Munich, Milan, Madrid, Luxembourg).
Key job responsibilities
The Senior BIE EU negotiations will be responsible for:
· Building recommendations and insights on negotiations opportunities, driving goal setting for our annual plans.
· Driving insights and recommendations on our complex incentives strategy.
· Championing data and metrics instrumentation to drive our EU negotiation program.
· Driving development of tools, reporting improvements, and automation, and creating new innovative and insightful reports.
· Supporting the business team with ad hoc data requests and analytical needs.
About the team
The Pan-EU and RE-EX team drives change and innovates on processes, tools, ways of working and R&R on behalf of the EU retail organization, spanning across all PFs, MPs and Vendor Tiers. The team drive thinking and implementations around tools, Pan-EU transformation and effectiveness and develop our EU strategy as well as the next generation of tools.- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience in the data/BI space- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
