Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, OEMs, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, or Technology industries.
  • 6 years of experience in over the top (OTT) app distribution, streaming video industry, and consumer electronic device partnerships.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience deploying or distributing over the top (OTT) video apps on consumer electronic devices.
  • Understanding of connected TV platforms and the consumer electronics hardware industry.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop customized term sheets, work with legal agreements, and present distilled agreement issues to senior management.
  • Ability to grow in ambiguous environments, provide insightful and data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and structure complex negotiations, with a track record of negotiation and execution with consumer electronic device manufacturers.

YouTube’s Product Partnerships team accelerates the global growth and innovation of YouTube products by driving new business opportunities through partnerships. We own the business side of new features, products and initiatives that are vital to the success of YouTube. As a team member, you understand the landscape of partnerships opportunities across technology licensing/integrations, marketing, and distribution. You will also craft strategies, define and structure critical partnerships, negotiate agreements, and cultivate our relationships.

YouTube's global Living Room Product Partnerships team works cross-functionally with internal teams to identify, structure, and execute multi-faceted app distribution agreements while developing solid relationships with some of our most mature partners to 1) drive the distribution of YouTube's suite of services (YouTube Main App, YouTube TV, Primetime Channels) and 2) identify partnership opportunities to aid product development that will drive incremental watchtime, daily active users and subscribers.

As part of the global Living Room Product Partnerships team, you will be responsible for direct and proactive management of some of our largest connected TV/streaming device partners. You will provide exceptional partner management by creating the strategy, annual account plans, driving partner-related initiatives, and supporting critical YouTube-related programs (growth tactics, device certification, product-feature integrations).

In this role, you will require a deep understanding of the connected TV/streaming platform landscape, knowledge of product integration, thought leadership, influencing skills, research and analysis skills, flawless execution, and a passion for working in the fast-paced area of connected TV content services. Most importantly, you know how to assess partnership opportunities, define a strategy, and work closely with stakeholders to drive partnerships that help the business evolve.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Structure partnerships, draft terms, lead negotiations, and execute term sheets on behalf of YouTube.
  • Lead and make decisions amidst cross-functional, organizational, and industry complexity, with an ability to bring open issues to resolution.
  • Build and manage exceptional cross-functional relationships with YouTube Product, Engineering, and Partner Engineering groups to support their respective team initiatives.
  • Build detailed industry category strategy plans and account plans, organize and execute Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with top partners, and drive YouTube presence at key industry conferences.
