Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in eDiscovery, Information Governance or a related field (e.g., records management, data governance, etc.).
  • 4 years of experience working in a legal domain and interacting with executive stakeholders.
  • 4 years of experience in program development or managing cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Practical experience having driven development and onboarding of a new policy or decision-making framework, legal technology or managing existing technology and related processes.
  • Experience with analytical problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to executive management.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, leveraging sound business judgment and management, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work across teams, build relationships, and influence executives.
  • Ability to develop and understand strategy.

The Information Governance (InfoGov) team helps all Googlers effectively manage corporate data through proper retention and disposition, reinforced by policy, technology, and education. We're here to help Googlers make coordinated, proactive decisions about corp data, so that we can manage risk, meet our legal obligations, and create value for Googlers and Google overall. In this role, you will partner with many functions and PAs across Google and seek to harmonize our compliance requirements, litigation profile, business needs, and company culture.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $162,000-$243,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work with functional and departmental leadership to operationalize recommendations and establish a new Preservation Management program.
  • Identify gaps across the legal preservation landscape and create programs and processes to solve them, with a focus on leveraging technical solutions supported by robust roadmap documentation.
  • Translate legal, compliance, and business needs into program strategies, working with leadership to create and prioritize initiatives, and conduct strategic analysis to mitigate legal risk and develop business critical documentation.
  • Manage and track progress against success metrics, engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure timely and accurate delivery of work, and establish/lead processes for effectively managing the area.
  • Ensure leadership alignment and garner consensus from internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, surrounding new ideas and strategies.
