What's exciting about the role
The position will perform certification activities with our payment terminal solutions, Ecommerce platforms. Raise issues early in the development lifecycle to reduce turnaround time for fixes and improve time to market for new features and hardware launch. Perform technical tasks related to project completion, including problem analysis, testing, documentation and implementation. A key part of the role will be to understand EMV certification standards and perform tests around them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience and competence in the following areas:
- Testing of software
- Knowledge of different testing processes
- Knowledge of payments
The Job Entails
- You will take part in continuous knowledge acquisition of EMV Standards from the card schemes
- You will lead and take ownership of certification cycles for allocated projects
- You will ensure and maintain high standards of pass criteria working closely with management and team members to uphold them
- You will provide continuous progress updates to Certification management and be proactive as key issues arises
- You will participate in meetings & reviews with customers and team members
- You will be expected to be able to juggle multiple projects at the same time
- You will use the appropriate test tools, and processes to perform Cert functions
- You will be analysis and collecting logs for proactive analysis and defect reporting
- You will be liaising with acquirers to submit certification results and follow up on progress
- You will be working with other teams’ members to understand customer requirements and help work on possible solutions
Skills and Experience we desire
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in related field (B.Tech / M.Tech)
- 3-5 years of work experience
- Excellent knowledge of Software Engineering Processes and QA practices
- Ability to understand complex software modules/system and excellent communication skills – ability to work in cross cultural environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and the ability to understand end-user needs
- Ability to validate hardware and software requirements
- Expert at issue isolation and problem resolution in both application hardware and software problems
- Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with Software & Hardware engineers
- Perform complex system analysis, design and identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals
- Expert knowledge in brand testing and brand testing tool
- Analyze, troubleshoot, resolve highly technical system issues and certification issues
- Ability to Debug and/or troubleshoot defects and/or errors
- Ability to organize and bring work assignments to completion and report results with minimal direct supervision
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, Jama, JIRA, and MS Office
Requirements (Desirable):
- Payment Domain knowledge
- Software industry experience preferably in a POS, integrated, or embedded systems environment
- Ability to effectively analyze customer technical requirements and design software solutions to meet these requirements
- Ability to clearly document the implemented software
- Practical knowledge of TCP/IP protocols family
- Experience in development of software for embedded systems
- Knowledge of payment systems and related technologies like ISO 8583, EMV etc. will be a significant advantage
