The ServiceNow Platform Administrator will be responsible for the overall management, configuration, and optimization of our ServiceNow platforms. This role involves administering the platform, troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, developing new functionality and features, and ensuring that the platform supports the company's IT Service Management processes effectively. The successful candidate will have experience in ServiceNow administration and be capable of maintaining a seamless, efficient, and secure platform environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain multiple ServiceNow platforms, including user administration, role assignments, permissions, and system access. Monitor and ensure license usage remains within agreed levels.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements.
• Maintain clear documentation for platform configurations, workflows, and processes. Generate reports to assess performance, usage, and adoption of the platform.
• Plan and execute ServiceNow platform upgrades and patch management to ensure the platform is up to date with the latest features, bug fixes, and security updates.
• Resolve platform issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for platform-related inquiries.
• Write and maintain scripts using JavaScript, ServiceNow Glide Script, and other relevant languages to automate workflows, processes, and tasks within the platform.
• Monitor platform performance and health, identify bottlenecks, and work to improve system efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, service management, and business users, to identify opportunities for platform improvement and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide training and guidance to ServiceNow users, including creating knowledge articles, and conducting onboarding sessions for new platform users.
• Ensure that the platform is compliant with industry standards and organizational policies, and that sensitive data is secured according to best practice.
Skills and experience we desire
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Administrator with hands-on experience in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, Discovery and IRM.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, configurations, and best practices.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, GlideScript, and XML.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations and APIs.
• Experience with ServiceNow update sets, data imports, and reporting tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex platform issues.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and /or Certified Application Develop (CAD) certification an advantage.
