Your Day-to-Day

The Director USA & Canada People Operations is responsible for overseeing People Operations functions specific to the US and Canada Wizeline Employees. This role has a strong focus towards Learning & Talent Development initiatives to enhance the employee experience that align with the company’s business goals. This role is responsible for the effective execution of HR strategies, policies, and programs of the region and creating a learning culture that fosters continuous development, upskilling, and leadership growth. 

The Director will work closely with Business Unit Leaders and People Country Managers, Practices and Community Leaders to attract, retain, and develop talent, while fostering a high-performing and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the execution of HR programs, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle management for the US and Canada.
  • Provide support on HR-related topics such as leaves, compensation, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial labor laws, regulations, and company policies across the US and Canada.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design within the region.
  • Create and implement learning and development strategy that provides internal development opportunities for employees and managers that supports business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders, Community & Program Leaders, People Country Managers, and department heads to ensure training programs address workforce needs.

Must-have Skills

  • Deep knowledge of US and Canadian employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in HRIS systems and leveraging analytics for decision-making.
  • Ability to navigate and influence in a global organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
