Job Duties:

  • Acts as the Lead Network and Wireless subject matter expert for Trace3 key accounts.
  • Responsible for providing technical ownership on Professional Services engagements for large global and enterprise customers.
  • Responsible for creating collateral and focused content that can be consumed by the internal sales teams, as well as be a contact for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to create co-branded collateral for the internal teams to consume.
  • Provides up to date knowledge of Secure Network technology solutions and packages leading to the ability to provide discovery of client needs, recommend solutions that best meet the business needs of the client, configure competitive high-level designs, and present and communicate design solutions in a way that cause to understand the value and feel confidence in our ability to execute. 
  • Participates in detailed discovery sessions, provide customers with recommendations, provides high-level designs, builds BOMs and SOWs in a timely manner.
  • Provides demos where applicable.
  • Participates in the peer review process, internal and external kickoff meetings and provides consultations during project or onboarding work.
  • Maintains a portfolio of relevant solutions within a designated technology specialty and proactively provides support and enablement, drives attention, interest, and consequent sales in the portfolio with the purpose of consequently hitting growth targets through a variety of means.
  • Makes recommendations on the adoption of relevant solutions within technology focus.
  • Collaborates with Post Sales Project and Support Teams on direction of new technology. Ensures Account Executives are enabled with the requisite knowledge portfolio solutions to discover leads and generate interest/set meetings with existing and new customers.
  • Provides detailed training sessions including: Overview of solutions, market drivers, Key value of solutions, Key credibility of solutions, Financial impact (ROI) and qualifying financial gates, Analysis of solution vs competitive solutions.
  • Builds and maintains solid relationships with the Manufacturer’s lead SA’s for the technologies they represent.
  • Keeps professional certifications up to date.
  • Executes professional development plans and continues to expand on technical capabilities.
  • Assists in maintaining lab and Certifications as per Company and Vendor requirements.
  • Mentors junior and mid-career engineers to assist in developing the engineering domain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 8 years of progressive experience as a Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or closely related role. Must possess CCIE certification in networking and/or wireless.
  • 8 years of experience designing technology solutions for Mid to Enterprise Market and 5 years of practical experience implementing Cisco wired and wireless network infrastructure.
    • Experience with: 
      • Design knowledge with software defined network architecture including Cisco ACI, DNA Center, SD Access, SD WAN, switching and routing architectures across additional manufacturers; 
      • WAN architectures, Network security products from multiple manufacturers and design knowledge on fabric update process
      • Cisco ISR routers and Cisco ethernet switching including Nexus Data Center switches and Catalyst campus switches, TCP, sub-netting, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, NAT. 
      • IP Routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP) QoS, Multicast, MPLS. 
      • Network security design and implementation including NextGen firewall/ DMZ configuration including Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto networks, Fortinet Fortigate.
      • Designing secure access to network resources for both wired and wireless clients including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). 
      • Wireless Networking (802.11a/b/g/n, site surveys with Ekehau), Automation, Orchestration, Network and security with cloud-based platform such as Azure or AWS - IaaS, SaaS, PaaS. 
  • Ability to work independently, while managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience communicating effectively with clients at all levels and attending initial client meetings in person.
  • Experience in growing the technical capabilities of peers and the team overall.  

 

Position location in Milpitas, CA and requires 10-20% Domestic Travel for Client meetings, Partner meetings, Conferences, Client Sites mostly located in Northern California but may include client locations in Nashville, Phoenix, Chicago, Omaha, Seattle and additional domestic locations. 

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

$212,200$255,200 USD
