Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in business development.
  • Experience with partner management and business agreement discussions with partners.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership, both internally and externally.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working at a tech company engaging in technical discussions with product managers.
  • Working knowledge of the YouTube and video/distribution ecosystem in APAC with a strong perspective on how partnerships can help it evolve.
  • Ability to succeed in an ambiguous, matrixed, fast-paced, and changing environment.
  • Ability to rigorously structure, analyze, and solve complex business problems, as well as deliver impact against concrete business goals.
  • Ability to effectively balance short-term tactical and long-term strategic goals and think like a general manager.

YouTube’s Product Partnerships team accelerates the global growth and innovation of YouTube products by driving new business opportunities through partnerships. We own the business side of new features, products and initiatives that are vital to the success of YouTube. As a team member, you understand the landscape of partnerships opportunities across technology licensing/integrations, marketing, and distribution. You will also craft strategies, define and structure critical partnerships, negotiate agreements, and cultivate our relationships.

As the Director for YouTube Product Partnerships (YTPP), you'll drive APAC’s growth across our product areas through deep partnership with cross-functional teams and direct oversight of strategy, business agreement execution, and partner management across the region.

  • Own the performance of the product partnerships in the APAC region, including direct oversight of agreement execution and partner/ecosystem management across APAC, primarily with Telcos, device OEMs, and e-commerce players, connecting at C-level.
  • Be the advocate of regional and partner needs to global stakeholders, keep internal teams up-to-date on regional needs, and influence global teams to deliver for APAC needs. Be the thought partner for global teams as we expand in APAC.
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing, diverse team that drives the success of YouTube’s products while fostering a culture that encourages creative thinking, inclusivity, and risk taking.
