Your Role

As a Developer Advocate on the Observability Platform team, you'll bridge the gap between our platform capabilities and user needs, both internal and external. You'll be an essential voice for our developer community, helping to shape our platform's evolution while ensuring it remains accessible and powerful.

Your Impact

• Champion developer success by identifying pain points and collaborating with product management to prioritize and specify features that address real user needs
• Drive platform adoption by creating compelling technical content, sample applications, and documentation that showcase our capabilities
• Build and maintain tools, libraries, and SDKs that make it easier for developers to integrate with our platform
• Represent SolarWinds at technical conferences, meetups, and online communities to share knowledge and gather feedback
• Partner with internal teams to ensure our platform meets the needs of Solarians building next-generation observability products
• Provide technical guidance and support to both internal and external developers as they build on our platform
• Contribute to product strategy by bringing deep technical expertise and user perspective to key decisions

Your Experience

• Strong software development background with proficiency in multiple programming languages, particularly Go, Java/Kotlin, C#, or Python
• Track record of successfully advocating for developer needs and driving the adoption of technical products
• Experience creating technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, sample applications, and documentation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Strong empathy for developers and a deep understanding of their workflows and challenges
• Experience with observability concepts, distributed systems, and API design (preferred)
• Previous developer advocacy experience is valued, but we welcome passionate developers interested in transitioning to this role
