UX Designer - Survey and Methodology

 

Why We Have This Role

Our customers use surveys to collect valuable insights by asking the right questions to the right people. Our internal partner teams focus on helping their customers design surveys that make responding as easy and seamless as possible.The Survey team is looking for a UX designer in Mexico City to join our passionate group of builders. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what an enterprise product can be—exploring innovative solutions across platforms and shaping the product roadmap to drive real impact for our customers.

 

How You’ll Find Success

  • Your product UX design vision sees 1-2 years into the future and evolves by listening to customers and ideating ground breaking solutions. 
  • You identify and surface UX issues and opportunities ensuring that they are closed out. 
  • You lead collaboration across software development, product management, and product marketing. 
  • You create fluid, intuitive user experiences that scale seamlessly across desktop, mobile applications and push into paradigms such as voice.
  • You design solutions that scale for millions of customers with a variety of needs and jobs to be done.
  • Working as a UX Designer in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment requires a blend of traditional UX skills along with a deep understanding of the platform's architecture, users, and their needs.

  • Qualtrics is a fast paced, dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to build on and expand your experience through working on high impact projects, utilising cutting edge tools and technologies, troubleshooting challenging problems and working alongside like minded and driven technical professionals.
  • Develop a new standard in how core design patterns are shared and documented ensuring that engineers around the globe can seamlessly tap into the patterns allowing them to independently build with confidence.
  • Spend time with a customer learning from them what would make Qualtrics integrate into their workflow and improve the quality of their work.
  • Collaborate with senior designers to improve the user experience of digital products, while gaining hands-on experience under supervision to develop core UX design skills.

 

Things You’ll Do

  • Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to communicate design ideas and test interactions.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to plan future improvements. Showcasing technical acumen and being able to grasp technical concepts early on will be beneficial.
  • Participate in design critiques, accept feedback constructively, and iterate on designs based on input.
  • Assist in conducting user research, analyzing feedback, and identifying opportunities to improve the user experience.
  • Keep up with modern design trends, especially in the feedback collection and methodology, to make our products more user-friendly and competitive.
  • Work on a variety of projects across the Survey and Methodology team, such as improving Expert Review and standardizing it as a reusable pattern. Your work will help seamlessly integrate these solutions across Qualtrics, making it easier for customers to collect and analyze better data.

 

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • 1-3 years as an information architect, user experience or interaction designer.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields such as Computer Science. 
  • Have designed, shipped, and maintained multiple products and features with an online portfolio that showcases this work and your process.
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners on teams including product managers, engineers, researchers, data scientists, and product marketing managers.
  • Experience designing complex systems and tools, designing business intelligence or analytics tools, designing interactive data visualizations and dashboards. 
  • Experience designing for platforms, enterprise software, or large systems that require holistic thinking.
  • Experience working with engineering and other technical partners to ensure that the user experience aligns with the platform's capabilities.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and influence stakeholders with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility principles and experience in building for accessibility.
  • Proficiency in Figma, experience using other design tools is a plus.
  • Curiosity, a learning mindset, and openness to feedback.
  • Working knowledge of Github and Jira is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS concepts (nice to have but not mandatory).

  • You’ll be joining the UX team which is composed of UX designers/product designers, content designers, and UX researchers, and part of the overall Product, UX, and Engineering org at Qualtrics. We have individuals working across the United States, Mexico City, Dublin, and Krakow.
  • Your closest product management and engineering partners on the Survey and Methodology team are in Provo, and Mexico city offices.
