The Role

UX Designer - Reporting & Analytics

 

Why We Have This Role

Our customers utilize reports and dashboards to analyze and explore their omnichannel data, ultimately uncovering insights that enhance the experiences of both their customers and employees. Our internal partner teams build applications using the components developed and maintained by our team. The Reporting & Analytics Platform team is looking for a UX designer in Mexico City to join our passionate group of builders. Our leaders and customers expect and encourage us to push the boundaries of what an enterprise product could be, envisioning across all platforms to directly impact the product roadmap and our customer’s goals.

 

How You’ll Find Success

  • Your product UX design vision sees 1-2 years into the future and evolves by listening to customers and ideating ground breaking solutions. 
  • You identify and surface UX issues and opportunities ensuring that they are closed out. 
  • You lead collaboration across software development, product management, and product marketing. 
  • You create fluid, intuitive user experiences that scale seamlessly across desktop, mobile applications and push into paradigms such as voice.
  • You design solutions that scale for millions of customers with a variety of needs and jobs to be done.
  • Working as a UX Designer in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment requires a blend of traditional UX skills along with a deep understanding of the platform's architecture, users, and their needs.

  • Develop a new standard in how core design patterns are shared and documented ensuring that engineers around the globe can seamlessly tap into the patterns allowing them to independently build with confidence.
  • Spend time with a customer learning from them what would make Qualtrics integrate into their workflow and improve the quality of their work.

 

Things You’ll Do

  • Create detailed wireframes and designs that make our products easier for customers to use.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to plan future improvements. Showcasing technical acumen and being able to grasp technical concepts early on will be beneficial.
  • Attend a UX team critique - inform and support the work that is being presented by your team members and help inspire junior members of the team.
  • Use research data to suggest and implement design improvements that benefit our customers.
  • Keep up with modern design trends, especially in the business intelligence and analytics space, to make our products more user-friendly and competitive.
  • Work a range of projects in the reporting and analytics platform including modernizing widgets, data visualizations, configurations, and filters; mapping and improving the user journey for key workflows like exporting, scheduling, and sharing; designing components that scale across the platform and meet a variety of industry use cases; and envisioning ways for customers to get from insight to action faster.

 

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • 1-3 years as an information architect, user experience or interaction designer.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields such as Computer Science. 
  • Have designed, shipped, and maintained multiple products and features with an online portfolio that showcases this work and your process.
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners on teams including product managers, engineers, researchers, data scientists, and product marketing managers.
  • Experience designing complex systems and tools, designing business intelligence or analytics tools, designing interactive data visualizations and dashboards. 
  • Experience designing for platforms, enterprise software, or large systems that require holistic thinking.
  • Experience working with engineering and other technical partners to ensure that the user experience aligns with the platform's capabilities.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and influence stakeholders with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility principles and experience in building for accessibility.
  • Proficiency in Figma, experience using other design tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Github and Jira is highly preferred.

You’ll be joining the UX team which is composed of UX designers/product designers, content designers, and UX researchers, and part of the overall Product, UX, and Engineering org at Qualtrics. We have individuals working across the United States, Mexico City, Dublin, and Krakow. Your closest product management and engineering partners on the Reporting & Analytics Platform team are in Mexico City, Seattle, and Reston offices.
