We are seeking an ICQA Area Manager to join our Fulfilment Center's Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Our Fulfilment Centers lie at the core of Amazon’s rapidly expanding operations network: they are where we handle our highly dynamic inventory. In every Fulfilment Center, our teams receive deliveries, pick products, package them, and ship them out. Each team contributes to our success, and you can be a key player in driving us forward.
These Fulfilment Centers are fast-paced, high-impact, and highly rewarding environments, where adherence to policies and procedures is critical. We are looking for an inspiring and capable leader to ensure we continue delivering on our customer promise while enabling our teams to excel with a customer-obsessed mindset.
Job responsibilities
As an ICQA Area Manager, you will:
· Lead and supervise a team of hourly associates in Inventory Control/Quality Assurance operations within the Fulfilment Center.
· Champion safety initiatives and ensure full compliance to maintain a safe and secure work environment for all associates.
· Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts aligned with network strategies, ensuring SOX compliance and consistency.
· Measure quality, inventory integrity, and accuracy, delivering actionable feedback to the operations management team.
· Conduct shift planning and forecasting while effectively assigning and directing work.
· Identify root causes of inventory deviations using cause-and-effect methodologies and implement corrective actions.
· Drive and support network-wide Fulfilment & Operations-focused quality initiatives.
· Review and analyze customer complaints and process defect data, developing comprehensive action plans to minimize future occurrences.
· Promote process improvements while developing your team’s capabilities to keep pace with our rapid growth, fostering a culture of excellence and engagement.
· Appraise team performance, providing tailored development, recognition, and coaching to unlock their full potential.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification;
· Strong proficiency in time management skills, coupled with confidence in analyzing and organizing large datasets;
· Resilient, goal-oriented problem solver and self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment;
· Proven ability to influence stakeholders across various seniority levels within an organization;
· Previous experience in inventory management, placement, and optimization strategies;
· Proficient in using the full MS Office suite, with advanced Excel skills; experience with MS Access is an advantage;
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Strong analytical abilities, including proficient mathematical and data analysis skills, inventory topography optimization·
· Able to swiftly pick up new software systems and data analysis tools.
· Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.
· Expert in data mining and data preparation.
