Key job responsibilities
Manage the programs and processes of the Global Engineering Services (GES) Launch Assimilation Program (Away Teams, Short Team Assignments) for all newly launching sites, ultimately ensuring the proper training of all associates as they begin their new careers at Amazon or move to a different opportunity within Amazon
• Manage others to meeting designated timelines.
• Hold the Assimilation Team and others accountable for following launch standards.
• Escalate issues and problems as necessary.
• Assist in the interview and selection of the Assimilation Coordinators
• Support onboarding each new Coordinator, network standard training program expectations
. Maintain the Assimilation Standard Operating Procedure, ensuring all plans and processes are up-to-date and communicated as required.
• Account for the Assimilation Program budget for all supported programs
• Develop and maintain full year plans for coordinator labor allocation
• Coordinate with the Human Resource, Travel and Pay teams to ensure all Away Team logistics are created, communicated and delivered on schedule
• Approve standard program communication, training and operating materials
• Troubleshoot schedule, logistics and other issues as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
A day in the life
The Program Manager is responsible for the plans, processes and programs that ultimately lead to the successful training of new associates at newly launching sites in the GES supported Amazon network. This individual will work directly with the Launch Team, new site Operations Management Teams, and the Recruiting Team to ensure that appropriate Away Team positions are identified and trainer’s and trainee’s schedules are aligned as well as supporting short team assignments planning and execution . The Manager will work with multiple trainer source sites (established Fulfillment Centers) to source the most experienced and talented trainers and work with the Travel and Pay Teams to ensure all logistical needs of the team members are arranged.

About the team
The Assimilation Team is a support team within the GES Launch Team that supports new launch sites Short-Term Assignments (STA), Away Teams (AT) and Labor Shares (LS) by planning and executing the logistics for new and existing buildings across the Amazon network. The Assimilation Team serves as a liaison by providing support to our customers, upholding standards to deliver consistently and effectively, ensuring all the teams have the resources needed to be successful- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business, IT or Human Resources) or 2+ years' Amazon experience- Excellent written, verbal, and quantitative skills
- Proven ability to work productively and efficiently in an independent setting

- Global perspective and solid understanding of business objectives
