Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on our team you will design, implement, and support robust and stable critical solutions impacting daily life of hundreds of teams across Amazon and millions of mobile Shoppers. You will work on the systems and tooling to continuously and automatically build, integrate, and sign the Amazon Shopping app and the technology and services ensuring that our mobile customers are accurately and efficiently transitioned from their mobile web browser to our app during their mobile shopping journey.
About the team
Our team owns the build and integration systems used by hundreds of teams across Amazon to launch the latest features on the Amazon iOS and Android Shopping apps. We accelerate Mobile Shopping app builders by reducing friction throughout the code journey while setting the standards for mobile development to ensure quality, stability, and security. We also own the app-side logic and services used to transition mobile customers to specific destinations into the Amazon Mobile Shopping app using deeplinking. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- 2+ years of Android development experience
- 2+ years of Apple platform development experience
- Proven track record of delivery and ownership

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
