Position Overview:
Squarepoint has a newly created role for a Legal Assistant to join their growing legal team and assist in various aspects of the Groupβs tax administration obligations. The successful candidate will be based in our Montreal office and reporting to the Legal Co-Ordinator.
- Managing βknow-your-clientβ process and requests for legal documents
- Managing invoice and billing workflow
- Assisting with drafting of tax documentation/forms for existing and new legal entities
- Coordination and delivery of tax authority and other external correspondence across various jurisdictions
- Assisting with the administration of entity management, project tracking systems and other software as needed
- Maintaining the tax team calendar and tax team space
- Liaising with broader tax team if technical support is required
- Other ad hoc admin tasks to support the Tax team members
Required Qualifications:
- Prior Legal administration experience within law firm or in-house
- Team player with strong work ethic
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft office skills

- Experience supporting a tax lawyer or within a legal firm specializing in tax
