Software Engineer III, Cloud Quotas

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  
• 2 years of experience with distributed systems concepts, including consistency, fault tolerance, and scalability. Experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale distributed systems is essential.
• 2 years of experience with C++, Java or Go development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
  
• Experience with designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs in a cloud environment, with an understanding of API gateways, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and load balancing. Experience with network security and troubleshooting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of Google Cloud's quota management service, focus on reducing customer friction and improving usability.
• Develop new ways for customers to understand and interact with quotas, including correlation analysis and app-centric views.
• Address challenges related to scalability, reliability, and performance to ensure the quota management platform is robust and future-proof.
• Work with product managers, and UX designers to define product specifications, implement projects, and provide technical guidance.
• Coach team members, share your expertise, and provide constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and performing team environment.
