We are searching for a Human Resources Business Partner to join the team. This position is fully onsite. This person must possess versatility and be comfortable with operating across tactical and strategic spaces. Joining the HR team as our HRBP means stepping into an integral position within the overall HR organization, responsible for taking an active role in the implementation of strategies and programs in support of both short- and long-term business objectives to develop the best talent for the organization.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Understanding the Fender business model and objectives while contributing to the development/implementation of both business and HR strategies that align with those objectives
  • Driving consistency in HR approach, practices and procedures
  • Partnering at all levels of the organization from leadership teams to individual contributors, providing consultation and recommendation on employee and business issues
  • Providing guidance and training to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues
  • Investigating formal employee complaints, make recommendations on the company’s response to the employee, and ensure that legal requirements are met in terms of employee relations to minimize liability/exposure
  • Partner with the benefits team on leave of absences, accommodations, and worker’s compensation requests
  • Driving informed decision-making utilizing data to identify trends, and develop effective solutions
  • Grow a corporate culture that fosters fast learning and continuous improvement of the organization through initiatives and events
  • Working closely with peers and other members of the regional and global HR teams to effectively partner with the business and successfully drive company-wide programs and initiatives including performance management, compensation, benefits, recruiting, workforce planning, organizational and talent reviews, and change management
  • Providing coaching/training with managers and employees to support leadership development, business decision-making, human resources management, problem solving and performance management
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and assist in the creation of, and adherence to, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related area preferred or combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of proven HR experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with a demonstrated advancement and progression of your HR knowledge and responsibilities
  • Demonstrated competence in high volume employee relations and performance management
  • Knowledge of US federal, state and local employment laws including ADA and Workers Comp procedures
  • Strong business acumen, consulting, analysis, communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within a global enterprise wide HRIS program, preferably SuccessFactors
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

Fender is required by law in certain jurisdictions to include a pay scale in the job posting for this position.  “Pay scale” means the salary or hourly wage range that Fender reasonably expects to pay for this position; it is neither a promise nor a guarantee of the compensation that the successful candidate will receive.  The pay scale for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that Fender considers in making compensation decisions, including, without limitation: skill set, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work.  Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $72,000 to $115,000 per year.
