Job Description

We are searching for a Maintenance Manager for our Ensenada, Mexico location. Responsible for overseeing maintenance efforts across an organization. Manages maintenance activities for the upkeep of buildings, machinery, and offices. Oversees a range of custodial and maintenance activities. Resolves problems as they arise, whether directly or by assembling teams to solve those issues.

Essential Functions: 

  • Coordinate maintenance worker efforts to make sure employer property like buildings and grounds are kept up.
  • Identify areas for improvement and assign workers to take care of issues.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and enforce them among maintenance staff.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and routines for all manufacturing and building equipment.
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance.
  • Manage the setup and take down of different events.
  • Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues; have extensive mechanical knowledge of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Communicate plans for upper-level improvements to maintenance worker staff.
  • Contact and schedule repairmen and extra help as needed.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a position or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders on sensitive issues.
  • Ability to combine initiative, integrity, and professional discipline to accomplish complex tasks through other people.
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
  • Working knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment.
  • Ability to keep track of activity reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
