We are searching for a Project Manager for our Ensenada, Mexico location. In this role, you will be working under the direction of the VP of Manufacturing to develop, implement, and sustain programs related to business growth, process improvement, and innovation. To lead and manage projects effectively, the Project Manager partners with cross-functional teams to identify integration points and inter-dependencies between business processes to develop and execute the project plan and deliver project objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, implement, and maintain an infrastructure of processes, procedures, supporting tools, and systems using industry best practices and guidance.
- Create and deliver training on Project Management standard work for leadership or other key stakeholders.
- Provide oversight for the key projects to ensure successful completion or early escalation of potential risks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain dashboards, metrics, and other operating mechanisms to confirm projects’ progress and portfolio status.
- Responsible for ongoing monitoring, reporting, and control of various organizational projects per the set objectives.
- Assure adherence to project management standard work.
- Develop and own a repository of Project Management knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and resources.
- Facilitate regular meetings to ensure appropriate project prioritization and resourcing.
- Utilize data to make fact-based decisions and challenges during project plan reviews.
- Align the delivery and execution of projects/programs by balancing best-in-class and pragmatic project methodologies and practices that achieve KPIs and meet or exceed business results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, design control documentation, quality, and schedule.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture/mindset concerning project delivery and leadership demonstrated through utilizing helpful project performance metrics and defined performance improvement plans.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering or relevant field – Required Master’s Degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of business experience is required in management projects, engineering, and/or manufacturing.
- Project Management Institute certification.
- Full-cycle project management experience.
- MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with specific intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Project.
- Strong Financial acumen – Ability to pull together financial justifications.
- Strong people, leadership, and communication skills to influence people across various organizational levels, cultural diversity, and/ or geographically dispersed.
- Experience in leading and managing by influencing people in multi-disciplinary teams and partnering with stakeholders to build alignment and drive change.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English. Excellent writing, communication, and creative skills.
