Dedrone Defense by Axon is the global leader in airspace security, providing solutions to detect, identify, track, and mitigate unauthorized drones in sensitive environments. Axon, a pioneer in public safety technology, enhances these offerings with its ecosystem of devices, software, and mission-critical tools.
This role is a unique opportunity for a driven sales professional to lead growth in the Federal Sector (Civilian / Defense) by positioning Dedrone’s cutting-edge solutions to address critical (CsUAS) Counter Drone requirements for federal agencies.

What you’ll do:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy focused on selling Dedrone Defense solutions to Federal Civilian or DoD agencies.
    • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers across federal agencies.
    • Manage the entire sales process, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with federal agency leaders, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, aligning Dedrone’s solutions to address specific operational and security needs.
    • Provide ongoing support and ensure customer satisfaction to drive adoption and long-term engagement.
  • Collaboration
    • Partner with Axon’s federal sales representatives and internal teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to align customer needs with product offerings.
    • Collaborate across the Axon-Dedrone ecosystem to maximize value delivery to customers.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Stay up-to-date on federal procurement processes, acquisition regulations, and relevant certifications/standards.
    • Monitor federal trends, budget allocations, and agency priorities to uncover new opportunities for Dedrone solutions.
  • Reporting and Metrics
    • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data in the CRM and provide timely reporting to leadership.
    • Track and analyze sales performance to continuously optimize strategies and outcomes.

What you Bring:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in the Federal Sector. An active DoD security clearance preferred for Defense accounts.
    • Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contracting vehicles, and budget cycles.
    • Experience selling advanced state of the art technology, preferably leveraging AI/ML, preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers in complex organizations.
    • Strategic thinker who can communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
    • Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with CsUAS (counter-drone) market, airspace security, or defense-related systems is a strong plus.
    • Knowledge of Axon’s public safety solutions and their applicability to federal agencies is a bonus.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

The Pay: The compensation for this role is made up of an uncapped commissions and a starting base pay between USD 90,000.0 in the lowest geographic market and USD 150,000.0 in the highest geographic market. On average, the national commissions target for this role is USD 250,000.0.. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and geographic market demands and often a combination of all these factors.
