People Operations strives to revolutionize human resources the same way that Google has revolutionized search. We are helping to find, grow and keep the remarkable assemblage of talent who are our Googlers. Great just isn't good enough for our People Operations team (you probably know us better as "Human Resources"). Made up of equal parts HR professionals, former consultants, and analysts, we're the advocates of Google's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build their organisations and make sure all people decisions are based on data.
As Google grows, so do the operational complexities, compliance risks, and cultural nuances that are unique to the markets, sites, countries, and regions where Googlers work. To address these complexities, our HR teams offer a structured, location-based approach for delivering HR support.
As the Head of HR, Canada, you will set the country-specific HR strategy for Canada. Leveraging insights from business imperatives and nuanced local needs, you will drive a “One Google” experience. You will also play a pivotal role in contributing to the vision for People Operations at Google.
In this role, you will balance strategic and tactical work when needed, thoroughly explore risk identification and resolution, as well as surface those themes to inform and drive the local HR Strategy. Additionally, you will partner with global market counterparts and bring cohesion to Google’s global presence.
Great just isn't good enough for our People Operations team (known elsewhere as "Human Resources"). We bring the world's most innovative people to Google and provide the programs that help them thrive. Whether recruiting the next Googler, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Googlers, we bring a data-driven approach that is reinventing the human resources field. You’ll play an essential role advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Google through our hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices.
