Product Owner

We are seeking a motivated Product Owner to join our OneSpan Product Management team. This position is open to candidates who have their residence in Belgium as it is a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backlog Management:
  • Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog to deliver maximum value aligned with business goals.
  • Translate the Product Manager’s strategic vision into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics.
• Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders (Product Manager, UX Designer, and development team) to ensure clarity and alignment on priorities.
  • Collaborate with the UX Designer to incorporate user-centered design principles into product development.
• Requirements Gathering:
  • Work with the Product Manager to understand market needs, customer requirements, and competitive landscapes.
  • Define and document detailed requirements for development teams.
• Agile Practices:
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
  • Monitor progress and provide ongoing feedback to the development team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Product Quality:
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon acceptance criteria and align with the overall product strategy.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and contribute to quality assurance efforts.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate product progress, risks, and updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously refine the product.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers and development teams.
• Ability to break down complex ideas into actionable tasks.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of mobile development is a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, authentication solutions, or enterprise software is a plus.
