Security represents the most critical priorities for our customers in a world awash in digital threats, regulatory scrutiny, and estate complexity. Microsoft Security aspires to make the world a safer place for all. We want to reshape security and empower every user, customer, and developer with a security cloud that protects them with end to end, simplified solutions. The Microsoft Security organization accelerates Microsoftβs mission and bold ambitions to ensure that our company and industry is securing digital technology platforms, devices, and clouds in our customersβ heterogeneous environments, as well as ensuring the security of our own internal estate. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset, a theme of inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. In doing so, we create life-changing innovations that impact billions of lives around the world.
The Cloud Ecosystem Security team is one of Microsoft's fastest growing businesses, with the mission to make the world safer and more productive for all. The team protects Azure, Microsoft's cloud platform, builds security product offerings for customers across clouds, and contributes to the global ecosystem of defenders, researchers and security policy makers. As the Principal Software Engineer, you will lead our efforts to build product features and capabilities for a new security marketplace offering. This exciting new product offering will help partners build on new security platform capabilities such as Security Copilot, extend capabilities of Microsoftβs existing security products (Defender, Sentinel and Purview across M365 and Azure), and offer organizations of all sizes a purpose-built, trustworthy one-stop marketplace that meets their security software needs. This is a key technical leadership role, and you would have a blend of technical skills and the ability to work across teams to build consensus. You would be comfortable being hands on with coding while having the necessary skills to communicate complex concepts in technical forums.
