YOUR MISSION

The Lead Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with preferable experience in the e-commerce industry, who can provide insights into financial data and lead a team of accountants to maintain accurate financial records, while supporting operational needs

THE JOURNEY

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate financial reporting  and inventory valuation.
• Manage tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other applicable tax requirements.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Collaborate with other departments, including operations, commercial, and marketing to support accurate financial reporting
• Ensure that financial systems and controls are in place and functioning effectively to minimize risk.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within the food tech, e-com or related industry.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and accounting systems 1C.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of accountants and work collaboratively across departments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
