We have a strong flexible, hybrid working ethos, we aim to be as flexible as possible to balance work with life. As a company we come together annually for our conference and end of year celebrations!

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

You’ll be joining the Kaluza Product & Delivery community. We’re a group of Product Managers and Leaders focused on translating complex needs into simple and innovative solutions that solve real customer and business problems.

What will I be doing?

The Delivery & Portfolio team’s mission is to deliver transparently and predictably to our clients.

The Portfolio team contributes to this by synthesising the holistic view across our work, increasing transparency of information and reducing delays and wait time to ensure we’re ready for what’s coming next.

Support Kaluza as it scales globally; work to remove blockers, getting us to a state of being ready for future work: [sample metric: reduce waiting time; maintained Portfolio Improvements roadmap]
    • Connection: align planning process, cadence & controls across Product & Engineering with strategic objectives. Ensure teams are aware of the outcome they are trying to achieve and how to measure it.
    • Transparency: enable us to make informed decisions: making portfolio information readily available  to stakeholders, other teams and any interested parties; creating clarity around the risk areas around achieving strategic objectives. Ensure upcoming work to match our strategic objectives.
    • Iteration: define and deploy targeted improvements into the organisation. Help create repeatable, uniform processes, patterns and approaches – documented and shared across Kaluza.
  • Develop and maintain processes and tools to enable a holistic view of Kaluza’s information: [sample metric: increase transparency]
    • Tooling: predominantly Jira & Confluence, also includes Craft and Google Workspace. Skilled in getting the best out of tooling across a portfolio.
    • Process: e.g. flow of work; people allocation; RAIDD management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and implement efficient workflows and automation. Conduct regular assessments and optimize configurations to align with business processes. Provide recommendations for improving process efficiency, system usability, and data integrity.
    • Data: make the portfolio flow of work transparent and available, to enable prompt and informed decision making. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to monitor portfolio performance and support business decision making.
  • Partner with leadership functions in Product, Engineering, and Commercial, to support the planning and delivery of strategic priorities [sample metric: stakeholder rating]
    • Engineering: champion the wider change agenda and creating clarity on the upcoming change priorities, supporting change management to Engineering, supporting the readiness to deliver against strategic goals.
    • Product: align planning information, process & cadence to ensure readiness for our evolving portfolio of work. Collaborate with product to evolve the product processes.
    • Commercial: partner with the Commercial teams, especially Client Success, to ensure readiness for future clients.

Is this the job for me? Ideally you’ll:

  • Work in the open, being transparent about our goals and approaches, able to discover and share good and bad news early.
  • Use data to inform decisions and measure impact
  • Be experienced in Jira (including Jira Query Language) and Confluence.
  • Be proactive in spotting problems/opportunities and draw on a wealth of experience in solving those problems.
  • Bias to focussing our efforts on the biggest constraints in the system and needs of the organisation
  • Be able to articulate clearly what is needed for improvement.
  • Be able to create strong relationships with people at different levels across the org, and bring people along on a change journey.
  • Have a thirst for learning, trying things out and sharing with others.
  • Be proactive in sharing experiences to the wider community - what’s worked/not worked, what you have learned.
  • Have experience of overcoming challenges with a company that is scaling fast.
  • Able to navigate uncertainty and adapt to a changing landscape e.g. new information being discovered; change in priorities.
