Amazon is seeking for Maintenance Technicians to join the team at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Jandakot.

Please note that the current shift pattern includes 10-hour shifts x 4 days, with one workday falling on the weekend. Both day and night shift vacancies are available.

The Maintenance Technician role focuses on three key areas: ensuring adherence to safety regulations and policies, conducting high-standard preventative maintenance on schedule, and maximizing equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.

About the team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network.
From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site, to repairing key distribution equipment, our team handles most aspects of Amazon’s technical side. This includes keeping buildings legally compliant, so everyone is safe, and our sites are operating at maximum efficiency.- Formal Trade Qualification: Served a full Apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualified to a minimum of Certificate III. Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
- Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.- Experience of computer maintenance systems (CMMS)
- Experience of sortation machines
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
- Experience of print and apply machines
