ABOUT THE TEAM

You will be joining a dedicated and dynamic team focused on driving Tide’s market success in Germany. The Tide Germany team is in an exciting growth phase, bringing together professionals with deep expertise in fintech, product development, and local market dynamics. As part of this expanding team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape Tide’s presence in Germany, working collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions for small business owners. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in establishing the foundation for our long-term success in this key market.

Partner Credit Services is Tide’s SME lending marketplace product vertical. Working with lending partners, Partner Credit Services connects business owners to the right funding. For founders moving their business to the next level. For entrepreneurs negotiating a tough market. For leaders looking to adapt their strategy.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Germany Country Commercial Manager, Partner Credit Services your responsibilities will include:

  • Revenue Ownership: Take full ownership of revenue generation by delivering ambitious financial targets while leading financial forecasting, budget planning, and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and grow a world-class Sales and Partnerships team, fostering a high-performance culture through continuous feedback, coaching, and professional development.
  • Performance Analysis: Define and implement Sales and Marketing KPIs, rigorously track performance against targets, and proactively take corrective actions to optimise outcomes.
  • In-Country Expertise: Build and nurture relationships with key local partners such as lenders and introducers, while providing internal teams with localized language translation support and insights into cultural nuances to enhance strategy and execution.
  • Influence Product & Engineering Decisions: Influence product and engineering decisions by contributing to OKR planning, supporting market research and refining the value proposition to meet the needs of the German market.
  • Cross-Company Collaboration: Ensure the Sales function complies with German and EU regulations by collaborating across teams and acting as the local escalation point for complaints, risk and compliance matters.
  • Report jointly into the Country Managing Director of Tide Germany and the Global SVP of Partner Credit Services. 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Tide is seeking a visionary Country Commercial Manager to lead our efforts in developing the leading SME credit marketplace in Germany. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of relevant Sales or Commercial experience in the German financial services industry 
  • Deep expertise in SME finance, including a thorough understanding of lender products and product classes in the market.
  • A proven business leader with a minimum of 3 years in a people leadership role, demonstrating the ability to inspire, manage, and grow high-performing teams.
  • Results-driven with impeccable attention to detail, a strong work ethic, determination, and the drive to consistently exceed targets.
  • Highly data-driven, with the ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex datasets, supported by strong financial analysis skills.
  • Experienced in presenting and reporting to Senior Leadership and C-Suite executives, with the confidence to influence decision-making at the highest levels.
  • Capable of balancing tactical execution with long-term strategic thinking as the team continues to scale and expand.
  • Possesses exceptional external and internal networking skills, backed by a proven track record of cultivating and leveraging industry relationships.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work both autonomously, with a high degree of local responsibility, and collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other workflow-based CRM systems is preferred, though not essential.
  • Passionate about delivering the highest level of customer service, with an unwavering commitment to excellence.
  • And lastly, shares a deep passion for small businesses and is motivated by helping them achieve their dreams
